Essentials Collection

The Essentials Collection is a great introduction to DermaQuest’s innovative product collections. Our Essentials Collection delivers the daily nourishment, protection and balance that your skin needs but often lacks. Through an infusion of vitamins, minerals and nutrients, this collection provides balance for all skin types and conditions.
Consisting of 11 core products that range from a gentle enzyme infused cleanser, to our top selling product that provides unequalled hydration, to a variety of sunscreens, these core products encourage healthier, balanced skin. The Essentials Collection incorporates Micronized Zinc, Ferulic Acid, Panthenol and MDI Complex along with the highest concentrations of low and medium weights of Hyaluronic Acid. These highly effective ingredients support and hydrate the skin from the inside out, protecting the skin from UV damage and prepare it for advanced treatments.

Solar Moisturizer SPF 30

Solar Moisturizer SPF 30 is a remarkable 2 in 1 broad-spectrum, chemical sunscreen. As DermaQuest’s only chemical sunscreen, it actively defends and shields vulnerable skin from exposure to the solar rays. Botanical extracts, peptides and antioxidants to plump skin, restore hydration and firmness, while defending your skin against environmental damages.

Performance Ingredients 

• Matrixyl (Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4):Promotes the development of collagen, elastin, and glycosaminoglycans in the dermal layer, which will increase skin thickness and improve the appearance of aging skin.
• CoEnzyme Q10 (Ubiquinone):Ideal antioxidant and cellular bodyguard, protecting the cells from oxidation and free radical damage. This antioxidant stabilizes cell membranes and brings oxygen to the cells to maintain cell function to promote healthy cell renewal.

Essential B5 Hydrating Serum

Drench your skin with this lightweight and intensely hydrating serum. Essential B5 Hydrating Serum employs liposome technology to deliver immediate and significant moisture essential for all skin types. This 50% hyaluronic acid solution serum has the ability to penetrate the skin’s many layers, providing instant plumping and complete hydration; a covetable staple for all ages, skin types and conditions.

Performance Ingredients: 

• 50% Hyaluronic Acid Solution:Powerful humectant that draws moisture to the skin - it is able to hold 1,000 times its weight in water and then bonds that water to the skin. HA is an essential hydrator that helps to prevent trans epidermal water loss (TEWL) and helps promote balanced, hydrated and plump skin.
• .05% Ferulic Acid:Ferulic acid is primarily found in plant cell walls and is a naturally occurring phenolic compound. It is a super antioxidant that is highly effective in fighting free radicals on its own or when paired with other antioxidants and may extend the life of antioxidants, especially Vitamins C and E. When it is paired specifically with vitamin C, Ferulic acid enhances C’s efficacy by helping to stabilize the molecule. Studies have shown that when Ferulic acid is added to a vitamin C/vitamin E formulation, the UV-protection benefits nearly double.
• Panthenol (Vitamin B5):Natural Humectant: Assists in skin healing and conditioning by attracting moisture to skin. It also has an anti-inflammatory effect, relieving systemic itching.
• Directions:After cleansing, apply serum using fingertips and gently massage into the skin. Allow serum to penetrate and absorb.

Stem Cell Rebuilding Complex

Stem Cell Rebuilding Complex is a powerhouse of plant stem cell power. Promoting collagen production, this serum protects and repairs skin cells through the use of anti-inflammatories, antioxidants and the innate repairing ability of plant stem cells. The plant stem cells and proteins found in this formula substantially soften fine lines and wrinkles boasting 15% reduction of lines for every 20 days of use. B5 Moisture Matte takes hydration beyond daily moisturizer and drenches the skin in oil free hydration. Paired with the anti-inflammatory of Lilac Plant Stem Cells that help to protect the skin from environmental harm, this product was designed to keep an oily complexion in perfect balanced. Skin is left healthy, hydrated and shine-free in minutes.

Essential Daily Cleanser

This mild daily cleanser draws dirt, makeup and impurities from your skin as papaya and pineapple extracts gently exfoliate the skin leaving the skin purified and polished. Essential Daily Cleanser’s AHA free formula makes it a perfect choice for daily cleansing, especially for those with AHA sensitivities.

• Hydrating and strengthening

Performance Ingredients 

• Papaya and Pineapple enzymes:Gentle, natural exfoliators: that breaks down and dissolves hard keratin proteins and promote cell turnover. Grapeseed Extract (VitisVinifera)
• Increases blood level of antioxidants which helps improve skin circulation and protects skin from harmful UV radiation.
• Vitamin E (Tocopheryl Acetate):Antioxidant: that prevents anti-aging, conditions, protects, and fights free radical damage. Vitamin E moisturizes and soothes skin.
• Directions:Emulsify cleanser with lukewarm water and gently massage onto the skin, avoiding the eye area. Rinse well and pat dry.

 **Tip: A perfect cleanser for clients who are prepping for or are several days post chemical peel.

DRY & DEHYDRATED SKIN

Skin dryness and dehydration are common, and although they are separate skin concerns the two are closely linked2,5. If the skin is dry it will inevitably lead to dehydration, and if the skin is dehydrated, it can lead to skin dryness2,11. Dehydration refers to a lack of water in the skin, whereas dryness refers to a lack of skin lipids and water due to a poorly functioning skin structure and physiology4,8,11.
Keeping the skin hydrated is essential as all biological processes, even those within the skin, rely on its presence1,4,11. Without skin hydration, enzymes required for skin cell production and barrier function maintenance cannot function optimally leading to the formation of dry skin4,10,11.
The ability of the skin to maintain hydration relies mostly ontwo aspects:

• The natural moisturising factor within the skin and its ability to hold water
• The barrier function of the skin1,5,10,11

Skin hydration is also influenced by the amount of sebum present on the surface of the skin, acting an extra barrier to water loss1,3. Within the second layer of the skin, the dermis, it is hyaluronic acid that is important for the maintenance of hydration in this region11.
